Tonight I thought I'd share one of my favorite short stories which is no longer copyrighted and lives on in the public domain. This means that anyone can use the material for new works, which is exactly what I am going to do tonight.
The story was published by Robert W. Service in 1907, and though fictional, is based on several true stories that occurred throughout Service's life. The story is a poem about life in the Yukon during the gold rush of the late 1800s.
