We "fixed" our poorly-design "modern" shower with some decorative tile. It works!

Our apartment in Luxembourg has a "modern" shower which is very beautiful but also floods the bathroom every time we use it. It's one of those "flat" shower basins with a covered drain.
Installers are supposed to put another drain somewhere, either at the threshold of the shower or somewhere else in the bathroom.
They didn't. We tried a shower mat hoping it would redirect the water but it doesn't.
The drain is fully-clear and we've made sure with "DeStop", a drano-like product over here in the Luxembourg area.
So I bought and installed a row of decorative tile using silicone caulk (easier to remove than grout if it doesn't work). It works! The full-pressure water stream now gets redirected to the drain where it flows properly.
Phew!
