Judge Fred Biery of the Western District of Texas has burdened misbehaving lawyers with various sanctions over the years. The latest one takes the cake: opposing counsels were threatened with having to “Kiss each other on the lips in front of the Alamo” if they failed to resolve discovery disputes during the course of litigation.

Paul Hansmeier and John Steele have now pled guilty to a HUGE copyright extortion scheme using Bittorrent File-Sharing networks. The Defendants shared their own videos on The Pirate Bay and then sued everyone who was seen downloading.
